Filming In Arkansas

Arkansas is known for its abundant park and wilderness areas, encompassing mountains, caves, rivers and hot springs. Movies filmed in Arkansas over the past century, include classics such as “Gone with the Wind” and “Sling Blade.” The Arkansas Film Commission has aided filmmakers in finding locations across The Natural State for making a wide range of content.

In a place where miles still equal minutes, urban, rural, river valley and timberlands are all within 30 minutes of each other, saving productions valuable time and money. Arkansas remains a nimble and innovative partner in materially impacting productions' bottom lines. Eligible production companies may earn a 20% rebate on all qualified production expenditures, with an additional 10% for Arkansas crew base.

Arkansas has a talented, deep crew base with potential workforce development incentives for major studio and series productions. In addition to a host of industry leading expatriates who welcome opportunities to return home to work, Arkansas is adjacent to the crew bases of Memphis, Louisiana and Texas.
