Filming In Michigan

Situated in the Midwestern region, Michigan is nicknamed “The Great Lakes State” due to the fact that it touches four of the five Great Lakes. With multiple forests, buzzing cities, iconic islands and scenic shores, the state of Michigan has a lot to offer. Combined with a rich history dating back to the Native American tribes and a modern history especially known for its motoring history, the state is a wonderful place to shoot.

Film Insurance Requirements in the State of
Michigan

Workerʼs Compensation Insurance which meets Michiganʼs statutory requirements and Employerʼs Liability insurance with minimum limits of $500,000 each accident, $500,000each disease, $500,000 each disease/employee.

Commercial General Liability Insurance with a minimum combined single limit of $1,000,000 per occurrence subject to a minimum aggregate limit of $2,000,000. Coverage is to include blanket contractual liability. The City of Detroit shall be additional insured.

Automobile Liability Insurance covering all owned, hired and non-owned vehicles with personal protection insurance and property protection insurance to comply with the provisions of the Michigan No Fault Insurance Act, including residual liability insurance with a minimum combined single limit of $1,000,000. Include MCS90 endorsement (if Hazardous Waste will be transported by vendorʼs auto.)

Umbrella Liability Insurance with a minimum combined single limit of $4,000,000 per occurrence. Coverage shall include blanket contractual liability. City of Detroit shall be additional insured.
