Filming In Pennsylvania

One of the 13 original founding states, Pennsylvania is located in the Mid-Atlantic and the northeastern part of the U.S. All the way from Lake Erie in the northwest to the Delaware River in the southeast, the state has a lot of different geographical regions offering great locations for a shoot. Combined with a rich history dating back hundreds of years and urbanized areas, the state of Pennsylvania is a great place for filming.

When shooting in Pennsylvania you should get in contact with the Pennsylvania Film Office or one of the film commissions. The film office and the commissions will help and guide you through the process when shooting in the state. For more information about their services, visit their websites.

Film Insurance Requirements in the State of
Pennsylvania

We recommend the following:

Certificate(s) of Insurance (COI) as evidence of General Liability coverage in the amount not less than $1,000,000 for each occurrence.

A separate additional insured endorsement for the COI with the following wording: “the State of Pennsylvania, including its officers, agents and employees is named as additional insured, with respect to liability arising out of the operations related to filming on Pennsylvania state owned or operated property.”

Workers Compensation: State laws require companies provide proof of worker’s compensation coverage. If a company has no employees the company may submit a Workers Compensation waiver letter.
